BK-Series Single-Phase Control Transformer – Industrial Grade
Reliable power for your industrial control circuits. This single-phase control transformer steps down machine supply voltages of 380V, 400V, 415V, 480V, or 600V to safe control voltages of 24V, 110V, 115V, 120V, or 230V. Designed for continuous duty in harsh industrial environments, it features a high-grade EI silicon steel core, double insulation, and excellent short-circuit withstand capability. Ideal for PLC panels, CNC machines, relay logic, contactors, indicator lights, and automation systems. Available from 25 VA to 5000 VA, with custom voltages and mounting options on request.

Control circuits are the brain of every industrial machine. They require a clean, stable, and isolated low-voltage supply to operate PLCs, relays, contactors, sensors, and HMI panels safely and reliably. Our single-phase control transformers are engineered specifically for this purpose.
Built with a grain-oriented EI silicon steel core and high-temperature copper windings, these transformers deliver precise voltage conversion with minimal regulation error, even under heavy inrush loads from contactor coils. The robust construction meets IEC / EN 61558-2-2 standards for safety and performance in industrial control applications.

Q1: What is a control transformer and how does it differ from a regular power transformer?
A: A control transformer is specifically designed to supply industrial control circuits (PLCs, relays, contactors, sensors). It is built to withstand the high inrush currents of electromagnetic coils and provides stable voltage under fluctuating loads. While a general power transformer focuses on efficiency, a control transformer prioritizes short-circuit withstand, voltage regulation, and safety isolation.
Q2: How do I choose the right VA rating?
A: Add up the VA consumption of all control devices (PLC, relays, contactors, lights, sensors). Apply a safety factor of 1.25–1.5× for steady-state loads, and 2–3× if multiple contactors close simultaneously. Example: total steady load 80 VA with two contactors (50 VA inrush each) → select at least 200–250 VA. Our engineers can assist with sizing free of charge.
Q3: Can I use this transformer with 60 Hz supply if it is rated for 50 Hz?
A: Generally, a transformer designed for 50 Hz can operate safely at 60 Hz with the same voltage (lower flux density). However, the reverse (60 Hz design on 50 Hz) may cause overheating. Please confirm the frequency at the time of ordering.
Q4: What is the insulation class and why does it matter?
A: Insulation class indicates the maximum allowable temperature rise of the winding. Class B (130 °C) is standard for most control applications; Class F (155 °C) offers higher thermal headroom for hot environments or continuous heavy loads.
Q5: Do you offer dual-voltage primary or secondary?
A: Yes. We can manufacture transformers with multi-tap primaries (e.g., 380V/400V/415V) or dual secondaries (e.g., 2×12V, 2×24V) to suit different control circuit requirements. Please specify when ordering.
Q6: What protections are built in?
A: Standard units provide galvanic isolation between primary and secondary. Optional protections include:
Thermal fuse / PTC thermistor embedded in windings
Primary-side fuse holders
Secondary-side circuit breaker
Electrostatic shielding for noise immunity
Q7: Can the transformer be mounted in any orientation?
A: Most models can be mounted horizontally or vertically. However, ensure adequate ventilation around the unit and avoid enclosing it in a sealed space without airflow. Refer to the datasheet for specific mounting guidelines.
Q8: What is the warranty period?
A: (Insert your warranty terms, e.g., "24 months from the date of shipment, covering manufacturing defects.")
Q9: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: 1 unit for standard models. For custom specifications, MOQ may apply (adjust). We welcome sample orders.
Q10: Do you provide OEM / private labeling?
A: Yes. We offer OEM manufacturing with your brand name, logo, and custom part numbers. Please contact our sales team for OEM terms.
